Drill holes in the trash can liner

This happens because of the suction that is created between the garbage can and liner. This can be prevented by a simple method of drilling a hole in the liner. Use caulk with a painters tape

If you have used caulk previously then you must know how hard it is to achieve a straight line with caulk. However, this can become easier if you use it with painter’s tape. So, it would be a good idea to get a painter’s tape next time you visit a hardware store as it may help to achieve the smooth edges that are required with a caulk. However, always make sure that you remove the painter’s tape while the caulk is still wet. If you let it dry you may ruin the edges by pulling out some dried caulk.

Stripped screws can be removed with a rubber band

Screws can become difficult to remove with a screwdriver. However, you can use a simple tool like a rubber band to make your task easier. You can first place the rubber band on the head of the screw and remove it with a screwdriver easily. This is because there is increased friction which allows stubborn screws to be easily removed.

Fill wall nail holes with a soap bar

This is probably because of the friction between the pieces of wood. You can avoid this friction by putting in baby powder between the two pieces of wood. You can use a makeup brush to do that and then dust off the excess.

Remove dents with an iron

Floor and furniture dents are a common problem when it comes to homes, especially when there are children or pets in the home. Well, you do not have to worry. It can be fixed in no time with a moist cloth and an iron. First moist the place of indentation with a wet cloth, then run an iron over the area preferably in a circular motion to get rid of the dent.

Remove crayon and marker stains with WD-40

Do you have kids in the house? Do they like to create their colorful masterpieces on the walls of your home? It can be extremely frustrating to get rid of marks on the wall which have been marked by crayons or markers. Here is a hack, use WD 40 to easily wipe off these marks.
